The hotel is perfectly located next to the Pleney lift and allows for skiing straight back to the hotel. There is also a mini-train which takes skiers from the base of the Pleney lift to the Super Morzine lift, which is very convenient if you want to ski in Avoriaz and beyond to Switzerland. Our room was a reasonable size with a small seating area and hugh flatscreen TV with range of English channels (e.g. BBC and ITV). The bathroom however was a bit small with a separate toilet which was smaller still. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the lounge area was cosy with complementary cakes served in the afternoons. A big downside was the Wi-Fi which was poor at the best of times and unusable at busy times of the day. The continental breakfast was a bit limited but fine, especially the fresh orange juice. We opted for half-board as part of our stay, which was a hit and miss affair. Some dishes were quite inventive and good, whilst others were bland and quite boring. The ubiquitous fondue night really didn’t work for us. Whilst the cheese fondue was ok, they also served a meat fondue where you cook your meat at your table in a small cauldron of boiling oil…oil was spitting everywhere! The cheeseboard trolley was great however. As for facilities, this was also a hit and miss affair. The jacuzzi spa was great with lots of space, and the sauna and steam room were good also. The covered heated swimming pool was empty and unused throughout our stay. The reason, we think, was down to the unpleasant fumes from the heating generator…such a waste of a facility. The gym is also a bit of a non-starter…tucked away in a dark room with just one treadmill and one bike, plus a few free weights. However, all things considered - especially the location and friendly staff - we enjoyed our stay here.

This hotel has got to be the best in Morzine. Over our budget but we went for it based on the great reviews - which are very well deserved. It’s situated a few steps away from the Pleney lift and you can ski back to the front door. The Super Morzine life to Avoriaz is a direct 5 minute train away. Very friendly staff, great breakfast, dinner is amazing, especially the starter buffet, no wine included with dinner unlike most places, but the wine is of amazing quality. They serve the best old fashioneds, and this is the only place in Morzine that I found a decent aperol spritz. They made us breakfast early when we left at sunrise, which really set us up for the journey home. Thank you very much for a lovely time.

Great ski-in, ski-out hotel, only 50 yards from the Pleney lift. We had a superior room, and it was without doubt, the biggest hotel room we've ever had in France, with lots of wardrobe space, shelves and drawers. All clean and tidy with efficient housekeeping.Staff were attentive at the bar, and during breakfast and dinner, and although we'd only booked B&B we stayed there for dinner 3 nights; the main course menu only offered one meat, one fish and one vegetarian option, but the food was excellent. Breakfast was the usual buffet style meal, with hot and cold options, and I did see eggs cooked to order being served to some guests.Staff are all French and seem to have been there for a while, as numerous guests seemed to know them personally; an indication that not only is it a good place to work, but guests return year after year. The reception desk arranged our ski-pass within 15 minutes of asking and although we were arrived slightly earlier than the allocated check-in time, our room was soon ready so we didn't have to wait.Will definitely return next year.

Wow, we have stayed in Morzine on many ocassion but first time in this hotel it is truly amazing. The location is amazing right on the slopes, with amazing views. The bar and rest areas are so comfy spacious and clean, the outside pool is clean, the spa with sauna and steam perfect after a day on the slopes. Only disappointing areas was the gym almost non existent .

Six of us spent a week at Christmas at this lovely family run, warm, clean, efficient hotel. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was all excellent. Good choice at breakfast and delicious dinners. Pleasant bar area with log fire. Enjoyable spa area. Would definitely return.

We stayed at this hotel during the last week of August and had a very lovely time. The family who own the hotel could not have been more welcoming and they went out of their way to make us feel valued and at home. We stayed in room 211 which looked out onto the mountainside, the room was comfortable and big enough for our needs with a separate bathroom/WC; we had plenty of wardrobe and storage space and two chairs on the balcony to enjoy the south facing aspect which was a sun trap.We went on two walks organised by the owner Jean Marie, and his daughter, and these were fantastic, although a little challenging, we would not have been able to visit either area without the benefit of being taken to the start point by minibus, both walks were superb. Our only disappoint was the amount of mountain bikes in the resort, and as another reviewer has said, it would have been more honest if Inghams made it clear in their brochure that mountain bikes almost take precedence in Morzine during the summer, nevertheless, we survived them and enjoyed some great walks.All in all a most enjoyable stay at this hotel and in Morzine, Thank you to the Michaud family and staff

Superb family run hotel. Very high standard of cleanliness, food and staff. The Family Michaud go out of their way to help you enjoy your stay with them, including offering guided walking trips if you wish. Knowing that French and Italian bedrooms are smaller than the norm, we upgraded at small cost to Superior room and that was fine with a great view across the lower slopes of Pleney Mountain at the rear.We stayed for 2 weeks during July specifically for mountain hiking and we were not disappointed. Although Morzine area caters more for mountain bikers than for hikers, there were still many good hiking routes to be found. The free multipass (free use of local buses and gondolas & chairlifts, plus other benefits) allowed access to many surrounding areas.A good test of any establishment is what happens if something is not quite right and this was passed with flying colours - a couple of minor issues were corrected without fuss, almost immediately - full marks. The hotel stands next to the Pleney skilift, on the edge of the town but only 2 minutes from it's centre. Morzine can be vibrant, but Hotel Champs Fleuris remains a calm oasis within touching distance but just removed from the town noise. After a day's hard walking, what can be better than to relax in a lounger or chair on the grass at the rear of the hotel (watching the paragliders quietly landing on the adjacent slope).Highly recommended hotel that we enjoyed tremendously.Thank you to the Family Michaud.

1) location couldn’t be better, literally at the bottom of the le pleney cable car which takes you up the mountain2) family run hotel which has a homely feel. The family are very welcoming and helpful.3) there is a swimming pool, as well as a spa which has a jacuzzi pool, sauna and steam room. Absolutely lovely at the end of a day skiing. 4) dinner in the hotel is really relaxing, and service in the bar is great, equally you’re on the doorstep of lots of great restaurants in the town. 5) I think you only need a ski pass for the Morzine side of the mountain, which this hotel is on. Personally I preferred skiing in Morzine versus avoriaz. If you want to go avoriaz, I’d get a pass for the days you are going only. 6) ENJOY!!

This hotel was in a perfect location next to the ski lift which made it very easy for skiing each morning and not far the walk after a hard day on the slopes. The staff at the hotel were all lovely and could not do enough to help, the service was brilliant. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. The rooms were spacious, clean and heating is adjustable in the room by the heaters if found too hot. Breakfast and dinner were both lovely and had a good choice. Had a brilliant wine selection too. The spa was great after a hard days skiing and was very clean. The location for the town centre is ideal with shops/bars all within minutes of the hotel. All in all this hotel had a lovely atmosphere and we would love to return here for our skiing trip next year. Would recommend highly for anyone wanting to stay in Morzine.

Just arrived back from a week's visit.Firstly the location is Fantastic, just next to the gondola and a few minutes walk to the esf ski school meeting point.The hotel is a standard chalet hotel as expected. Rooms are a generous size and very clean. The staff are all amazing and the owners of the hotel are always around to help. We were half board. Breakfast was all the usual you would expect. (Eggs, bacon, croissants, fruit etc)The 1st two courses at dinner were a buffet. There was then a choice of mains, followed by a cheese and amazing puddings! There are lots of restaurants nearby if you fancy a change thoughHighly recommended
